TELEFÓNICA the Spanish incumbent with over 9.364 million broadband lines (5.6 million retail) offers discount on broadband packages only to its mobile subscribers and for a duration of 12 months.  The entry level package to browse Internet for 4 hours a day between 5:00pm till 9:00pm is €30.87 exluding VAT ( €16.9 broadband access plus €13.97 for landline rental). TELEFÓNICA ESPAÑA fixed broadband and new services (value added services, TV services, ICT revenues and other services over connectivity) revenues declined by 2% in the second quarter of 2012 compare to the previous quarter. The decline of broadband revenues might be the consequence of highly priced packages and the restricted discount to selected new customers.
