UPC, the Czech cable operator with over 420,000 broadband subscribers and 17% market share has increased the speed of its broadband packages, reduced its residential broadband tariffs and introduced new fees for set-up box and modem rental. The operator also increased the speed of its business broadband packages at no extra cost but like its residential packages, starts to charge for modem and connection fee. Some examples of the broadband tariffs are given in the table below:
